Be a Safe PrizeGrabber!

Are you on Facebook or Instagram? If not, you’re missing out! I absolutely love them both. I’m on both social media platforms basically all day! One of my favorite parts about my job is interacting with PrizeGrabbers

Sometimes there are imposters out there who try to take advantage of that and create fake accounts to trick our PrizeGrabbers.

Employees of PrizeGrab NEVER create Facebook accounts. If you receive a friend request from someone who claims to be an employee of PrizeGrab, this is a 100% fake account.

There are two very special PrizeGrabbers who I want to highlight for all of their help informing us of imposter PrizeGrab accounts!

Theresa W. from St. Louis, MO, and Renee T. from Panama City, FL, always tip me off when they see suspicious accounts – so I sent each of them a PrizeGrab Loyalty Box as a thank you gift because they are our PrizeGrab Superheroes!

Renee T. from Panama City, FL

I sent Theresa and Renee a special edition customized PrizeGrab loyalty box with a PrizeGrab T-Shirt and $10 gift cards to Target, Starbucks AND Amazon inside!

Tips from Theresa and Renee

Theresa and Renee were kind enough to share some advice to help keep our fellow PrizeGrabbers safe from imposters.

1. How do you discover these imposter accounts?

Theresa: “I found out about the imposter accounts by them sending me Facebook friend requests.”

Renee: “I received a friend request on Facebook from a fake account, then I messaged PrizeGrab and was told it was an imposter account.”

2. Why do you feel it’s important to let us know about imposter accounts?

Theresa: “I feel it’s important to notify PrizeGrab so imposters do not slander the PrizeGrab name.”

Renee: “I hate to see people getting hurt by imposters. It happened to me once, and I don’t want people to feel what I felt. Imposters could take the fun out of PrizeGrab, and I am not going to allow that.”

3. What advice do you have for fellow PrizeGrabbers to take extra precaution when it comes to fraud accounts?

Theresa: “My advice is do NOT accept Facebook friend requests from someone claiming to be from PrizeGrab because those are scams wanting money. PrizeGrab does not send friend requests on Facebook.”

Renee: “If you’re getting friend requests claiming they are from PrizeGrab, it’s NOT true. You can report these imposter accounts on Facebook and they will shut them down. PrizeGrab only notifies winners through email.”

I can’t thank Theresa and Renee enough for all of their help! I greatly appreciate them taking the extra step to keep PrizeGrabbers safe from imposters!

How to report imposter accounts on Facebook

Any PrizeGrabber can do what Theresa and Renee continue to do! If you receive a friend request on Facebook from someone who claims they work at PrizeGrab, you can report them by clicking on the three dots on the bottom right-hand corner of the profile’s cover picture.

Once, you click on the three dots, select “report,” then you can go through the report options.
